A Roman Catholic cathedral dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, whose construction lasted from 1396 to 1740, giving it a blend of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque styles. The white marble facade and the dome designed by Filippo Juvarra are its most striking elements.
Entrance is free, but donations are welcome. The cathedral is located in the center of Como, near the ferry dock. Closed during religious services.
