Kontorhausviertel and Chilehaus

Kontorhausviertel and Chilehaus

The Kontorhausviertel is a district of brick commercial buildings in the centre of Hamburg, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2015 together with the Speicherstadt. Its landmark symbol is the Chilehaus, and the ensemble also includes the Sprinkenhof, Messberghof, Mohlenhof, and Montanhof — outstanding examples of early modernism clad in brick.
