Etna Crater

The main craters of Etna are located at approximately 3,300 meters above sea level and are accessible exclusively in the company of authorized guides, depending on volcanic activity. The most common approach leads from Rifugio Sapienza by cable car and off-road vehicles, with a final ascent on foot. From the summit, the view encompasses active craters, fields of hardened lava, and the eastern coast of Sicily.
