Skënduli House

Skënduli House is one of the best-preserved Ottoman tower-houses in Gjirokastër, built in the 18th century for a prominent local family. The multi-story stone tower, with its wooden ceilings, built-in wardrobes, and fireplaces, shows what life looked like for wealthy families of the old city. Unlike museum exhibitions, what you experience here is the architecture of a traditional home itself — guest rooms, winter and summer quarters, and carved decorative details.
