On a hill above the old town stands the tomb of Kuzum Baba, the leader of the Albanian Bektashi sect from the 15th century. It is housed in a modest building with a green dome set within beautifully landscaped gardens. The real reason to visit is the upper terrace with a café that offers one of the most stunning panoramic views of Vlorë — the view stretches across the bay all the way to the Karaburun Peninsula and the island of Sazan. Ideal for an early evening cocktail or coffee at sunset.
The tomb and viewpoint are free to visit with no entrance fee. It offers an exceptional view of the Bay of Vlorë and the city.
