The Lanterna is the symbol of Genoa and one of the oldest lighthouses in the world still in operation, standing over 70 meters tall. A walkway along the old harbor leads to the lighthouse, and from its viewing platform and the museum dedicated to its history, visitors can enjoy views of the city, the port, and the Ligurian Sea that has shaped the development of Genoa for centuries.
