An old 16th-century Ottoman fortress above Saranda, now converted into a restaurant with a huge terrace. From its elevated position, it offers breathtaking views of Saranda, the Butrint lagoon, and the island of Corfu in the distance. It is most popular at sunset — the combination of panoramic views and local cuisine makes it a must-visit stop on any trip to the city. The easiest way to get there is by taxi (5-10 minutes from the city center).
The ticket is purchased on-site. The fortress offers a panoramic view of Saranda and the Ionian Sea, worth visiting in the late afternoon for the sunset.
