Lokrum

A forested island just a 15-minute boat ride from the Old Town. Lokrum is home to a botanical garden, the ruins of a Benedictine monastery, a small saltwater lake known as the 'Dead Sea', and numerous peacocks that roam freely around the island. Swimming is permitted, but there is no accommodation or overnight stays on the island.

Ferry from the Old Port 27€ return (includes entrance). Departures every half hour 9am-6pm. Swimming in the Dead Sea (salt lake) is a must-have experience.
