The only active monastery at the Mystras site, inhabited by a small number of nuns. It was built in 1428 and is distinguished by its ecclesiastical-musical iconographic program with frescoes that combine Byzantine and Gothic influence. The view from the monastery terrace encompasses the Lacedaemonian valley.
Included in the combined site ticket. Visitors should be appropriately dressed. The monastery is located in the central zone of the site.
