An Ottoman quarter from the 18th and 19th centuries, with houses layered along the southern slope of the hill. Each house features a so-called 'hayat' room — a wooden gallery with glass windows facing the sun, and it is precisely these windows that create the shot travelers are looking for. Come in the afternoon and stroll uphill along the narrow cobblestone streets, but the real view of Mangalem is best seen from the opposite bank of the Osum River, from Gorica Bridge.
Mangalem is an old Ottoman quarter with free access, known for its houses with large windows overlooking the Osum River. A walk through the narrow cobblestone streets and a visit to the mosques within the quarter is highly recommended.
