Memorial Collection of Matthias Flacius Illyricus

The memorial collection is dedicated to Matthias Flacius Illyricus, a reformer, theologian, and one of the most renowned natives of Labin. It is located in the former Francovich palace, considered to be his birthplace, in the old core of Labin. The exhibition presents his life, the European cities in which he was active, and his most important works, while the ground floor also features a lapidary with medieval inscriptions and coats of arms. The collection provides important context for Labin that goes beyond its Venetian and mining heritage.
