A 13th-century UNESCO site, once the capital of the Despotate of the Morea. Well-preserved palaces, churches and monasteries are spread along a hillside, and a visit requires walking along steep paths for 2 to 3 hours.
Single ticket for the entire site. Arriving in the morning before the heat is recommended, as there is no shade on the paths. Two gates are available — the upper one (closer to the fortress) and the lower one.
