Venetian Castle

A 15th-century Venetian fortress sits at the very heart of the settlement, its white houses pressed against one another, originally serving as walls. Within the enclosed circle, an entire community once lived, and the entrance was the only opening in the defensive structure. Today visitors pass through narrow cobblestone alleyways, while the old church at the center serves as a reminder of centuries of Venetian rule over the island.
