Molo Audace

A long pier extending into the Gulf of Trieste, it is one of the most popular walking spots in the city. From its tip, visitors can enjoy views of the coastline, the historic center of Trieste, and the sea, making it especially frequented during the evening hours. It takes its name from the torpedo boat Audace, which entered the port of Trieste in 1918 at the end of World War I. Locals come here for sunset walks, while summer evenings draw couples and families alike. From the pier, Piazza Unità d'Italia, the largest seafront square in Europe, is also visible.
