Spacious gardens in the Monte district that combine exotic plants, lakes, waterfalls, and art collections from various parts of the world. Visitors can stroll through Japanese gardens, among tropical plants, and along paths adorned with traditional Portuguese azulejo tiles. Due to steep paths and the large area, it is recommended to set aside at least two hours for the visit.
The ticket includes access to the tropical gardens, the azulejos museum, and the African sculpture collection. It is recommended to arrive by cable car from Funchal.
