Ali Pasha Museum

The Ali Pasha Museum is located on an island in Lake Pamvotis, within the complex of the former Monastery of Saint Panteleimon. The site is connected to the final days of Ali Pasha of Ioannina, the Ottoman ruler of Ioannina who held great influence in Epirus in the early 19th century. The museum's exhibition is dedicated to his life and the history of that period, and a visit naturally combines with a walk through the island's settlement and monasteries. The island is reached by boat from Ioannina.
