A building from 1969 designed as two concrete shells separated by a passageway — it is hard to walk past without stopping. Inside is a detailed documentation of the August 1944 uprising: original weapons, film footage, and personal documents of participants. One of the most visited museum institutions in Slovakia, and understandably so — the exhibition is not a dry chronology but a concrete story.
The ticket covers the permanent exhibition on the Slovak National Uprising of 1944. The museum is closed on Mondays, and it is recommended to arrive before noon.
