Musée Unterlinden

Housed in a former Dominican monastery, the Unterlinden Museum is the most important cultural institution in Colmar and one of the most significant art venues in Alsace. Its collections span from the Middle Ages to contemporary art, while the Isenheim Altarpiece is the work that draws many visitors here specifically. The combination of historic architecture and modern museum space gives this place a distinctive character.
