Museumsinsel

Museumsinsel

A UNESCO-protected complex of five museums on an island in the River Spree, in the very heart of Berlin: the Altes Museum, the Neues Museum, the Alte Nationalgalerie, the Bode-Museum, and the Pergamon Museum, whose collections span the period from ancient civilisations to 19th-century art. The Pergamon Museum is currently closed for renovation, so visitors have access to four of the island's museums. The complex is one of the most important cultural sites in Europe and an unmissable destination for lovers of history and art.
