National Gallery of Arts

This gallery, located right next to Skanderbeg Square and opened in 1954, preserves Albanian fine art from the 19th century to the present day. In addition to works by Albanian painters, paintings and sculptures of socialist realism from the Hoxha era are particularly well represented. The building itself is an example of the architecture of that period.
