The Oldest Via Crucis in Tyrol

Starting from the parish church and running along the street named after Emperor Maximilian, a series of chapels depicting scenes from the Passion of Christ lines the way — described by the Dobbiaco tourist board as the oldest Via Crucis in Tyrol. The route ends at the chapel in Lerschach, built in memory of those who fell in the war against the Republic of Venice. A short, peaceful walk through an old village that most visitors pass through without knowing what they are looking at.
