The oldest and most significant museum in Slovenia, founded in 1821. It preserves exceptional collections spanning from prehistory to the modern era, including the renowned Vače situla and remains of the Roman Emona. The 19th-century building with its impressive neoclassical facade is itself an architectural landmark.
Ticket includes access to all permanent exhibitions. Admission is free on the first Sunday of the month. Purchasing tickets online in advance is recommended for group visits.
