Nicopolis is an ancient city founded by Octavian Augustus after his victory at the Battle of Actium in 31 BC. The site encompasses the remains of Roman buildings, basilicas, walls, and an odeon, and is considered one of the most significant archaeological sites in western Greece.
The ticket also covers a visit to the on-site museum. An early morning arrival is recommended — the site is exposed to sun with no shade. Comfortable footwear is essential.
