Island of Flowers (Miholjska Prevlaka)

Island of Flowers (Miholjska Prevlaka)

The Island of Flowers, the peninsula of Miholjska Prevlaka in Tivat Bay, is known for its lush Mediterranean greenery — pine trees, cypresses, mimosas and flowers after which it got its name. A narrow land isthmus leads to it, and a path through dense vegetation opens onto the remains of the medieval monastery of Saint Archangel Michael and onto peaceful pebbly beaches. It is a favourite spot among the people of Tivat for swimming and quiet seaside strolls, far from the bustle of the city.
