The palace complex from the 13th–15th century served as the residence of the Despot of Morea, the last Byzantine ruler before the Ottoman conquest. The central part of the site features well-preserved walls and large ceremonial halls.
Entrance is included in the combined ticket for the Mystras archaeological site. There is no separate entrance.
