Palazzo Blu

Palazzo Blu

Palazzo Blu is a 14th-century palace on the banks of the Arno in the center of Pisa, recognizable by its distinctive blue facade from which it takes its name. Today the palace houses a museum and exhibition space with a permanent collection of Pisan art from the 14th to the 20th century, including works by Filippo Lippi and Pietro Tacca. The palace is particularly well known for its major temporary exhibitions dedicated to world-renowned artists — Mondrian, Hokusai, Toulouse-Lautrec — which draw over one hundred thousand visitors each year. If you want to explore Pisa beyond the Piazza dei Miracoli, Palazzo Blu is one of the most interesting places to begin a tour of the city center.
