Komrčar Forest Park

Komrčar is a forest park on the very edge of the old town, established on a former pasture that the Rab head forester Pravdoje Belija began to afforest in 1890; the afforestation process lasted about fifteen years. Today, shaded paths wind between pine trees across 8.3 hectares, with benches and stone tables throughout, and since 1965 the park has held the status of a protected forest park. It can be reached from the town center in just a few minutes on foot, and a seaside promenade leads further along the coast.
