Salt production has shaped the history and appearance of Pag for centuries. Shallow pools, sun, and the bura wind create ideal conditions for harvesting sea salt, and Solana Pag continues a tradition nearly a thousand years old. The complex stretches south of the town and represents one of the island's key symbols, alongside lace and Pag cheese.
