Pavlopetri is one of the oldest submerged cities in the world, approximately 5,000 years old, located at just 3–4 meters depth in the strait between Elafonisos and the Peloponnesian coast. A snorkel mask and fins are sufficient equipment to see the remains of streets and buildings. The site is protected, so touching the ruins is prohibited.
No ticket required — free access by snorkeling. Boats can be rented at Elafonisos harbor for a short transfer to the site.
