Pestlingberg

Pestlingberg

A hill overlooking Linz, crowned by a twin-towered pilgrimage basilica visible from across the entire city. The Pöstlingbergbahn, the steepest adhesion mountain railway in Europe, runs from the main square up through residential neighbourhoods and woodland to the summit. From the terrace, visitors can take in a panoramic view of Linz and the course of the Danube, and on a clear day the Alpine ridge to the south.
