Piazza Bra

Piazza Bra is the largest square in Verona and the city's main gathering point, located directly opposite the Arena. The square features the Arena, the 17th-century Gran Guardia palace, the Barbieri palace (seat of the city administration), and the Liston — a wide promenade lined with cafes and restaurants, a favorite spot for strolling and socializing. The Liston offers the most famous view of the Arena's facade. From Piazza Bra, the main pedestrian street Via Mazzini leads toward Piazza delle Erbe and Juliet's House. Throughout the year, the square hosts numerous city events and gatherings, including the summer opera festival at the Arena.
