Pinzgau Local Railway

Pinzgau Local Railway

A narrow-gauge railway that runs westward from Zell am See through the Salzach river valley, passing through villages and meadows that the main road bypasses entirely. The train moves slowly and stops frequently, making the journey itself a sightseeing experience rather than mere transport. Part of the service is hauled by preserved vintage rolling stock. It departs from its own platform adjacent to the main railway station.
