Blue Mosque

The Sultanahmet Mosque, built in 1616, is the only mosque in Istanbul with six minarets. Its interior is adorned with more than 20,000 blue Iznik tiles, from which it gets its informal name. Located opposite Hagia Sophia, it is one of the most important landmarks of Istanbul's historic core.
