A medieval astronomical clock installed in 1410 on the southern wall of the Old Town Hall (Staroměstská radnice) — the third oldest astronomical clock in the world and the oldest one still in operation. The clock displays the time, the positions of the Sun and Moon, zodiac signs, and a calendar. Every full hour between 9am and 11pm, the 'Walk of the Apostles' is set in motion — 12 figures of apostles pass through the windows above the clock face. Below, a figure of Death rotates with an hourglass. Best visited just before the full hour to find a spot in the crowd.
Viewing the clock from outside is free — the show takes place every hour from 9am to 11pm. The ticket for the Orloj tower costs around 250 CZK (~10 EUR) and offers a view of the Old Town.
