South Tyrol Museum of Natural History

South Tyrol Museum of Natural History

Located in the old town, not far from the arcades, the Museum of Natural History explains how South Tyrol and the Dolomites were formed, from rocks and fossils to the plants and animals of alpine altitudes. The exhibition is well laid out and child-friendly, with scale models, collections, and a large coral reef aquarium. It is an excellent choice for families and for days when the weather makes a trip into the mountains impossible.
