Richard's Head

Richard's Head is a small square and beach area along the western walls of the old town of Budva, at the very entrance toward Mogren. It got its name from the filming of the movie 'The Long Ships', in which Richard Widmark starred, after which the name Richard's Head remained among the people of Budva. Today it is one of the most recognizable spots along the old town, with views of the stone ramparts, the sea, and boats in a small cove. Due to its proximity to the old town and the coastal path toward Mogren, it is often the starting or ending point of an evening stroll.
