The ancient harbour of Rhodes, at whose entrance the legs of the Colossus of Rhodes — one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World — are said to have stood. Today the harbour is guarded by two stone columns topped with deer, while three Gothic windmills and the fortress of St. Nicholas line the shore. The picturesque promenade is the heart of the modern part of the city.
Walking through the harbor is completely free. The windmills and St. Nicholas Fortress are visible from the outside without a ticket. Ideal for an evening stroll and photographing the sunset.
