Hallstatt Salt Mine

The oldest active salt mine in the world, with a tradition spanning over 7,000 years. The visit includes rides on mining slides, a tour of underground tunnels and lakes, as well as an exploration of the history that made Hallstatt one of the most important settlements in prehistoric Europe. The mine is located above the town and is most commonly visited together with the Skywalk viewpoint.
