Sacromonte — caves and cuevas

A historic neighborhood on the hill above Albaicín, known for its cave houses carved into the limestone slope, which have been home to the Roma community for centuries. Sacromonte is an important center of flamenco in Granada, and numerous caves today serve as venues for performances and cultural events. The Museo Cuevas del Sacromonte showcases the traditional way of life and history of this settlement.
