Village of Trees

Just a short distance from the railway station, in the forest above Dobbiaco, a nature trail designed for families has been laid out. At its heart is the Village of Trees: three large wooden houses shaped like spruce trees, connected by small bridges, each one using games and riddles to explain a different role of the forest, from oxygen production to timber as a building material. Along the trail you will also find a playground with a large wooden platform, forest animal tracks, and a Celtic horoscope made up of 21 trees planted in a circle. The trail is accessible with a pushchair, and benches are available along the way for a rest.
