Skaros Rock

A rocky promontory and former medieval fortress located next to Imerovigli. A hiking trail along the edge of the cliffs leads to the site, and from the top there are views of the volcanic lagoon, the surrounding islands, and the western coast of Santorini. It once served as the administrative and defensive center of the island.
