A Gothic cathedral within the Prague Castle complex, one of the most beautiful cathedrals in Central Europe. Construction began in 1344 under King Charles IV and lasted nearly 600 years — completed in 1929. It is considered the spiritual heart of the Czech Republic and served as the coronation site of Bohemian kings, as well as the burial place of numerous monarchs. Particularly striking are the stained glass windows (including a masterpiece by Alphonse Mucha from 1931) and the chapels housing relics of St. Wenceslas and St. Vitus. Climbing the south tower (287 steps) offers a panoramic view of Prague.
The ticket gives access to the entire Prague Castle complex, including the cathedral, Golden Lane, and the Old Royal Palace. Purchasing online is recommended to avoid waiting in line.
