Old Town of Vodnjan

A compact historic core with Venetian palaces, narrow streets, and stone arches dating predominantly from the 15th and 16th centuries. At that time, the town was one of the most populous Istrian settlements under Venetian rule. Narodni trg (Piazza del Popolo) is surrounded by buildings with characteristic Istrian-Venetian facades.
