A Renaissance castle from 1479 built during the reign of Matthias Corvinus, located within a fortification complex on the square. Today it serves as the seat of the Central Slovak Museum with an exhibition on the mining history of the region — worth a stop if you are interested in what silver and copper extraction looked like in these parts.
