Subotica Synagogue

Subotica Synagogue

The Subotica Synagogue was built in 1902 to a design by Marcell Komor and Dezső Jakab, and represents an outstanding work of Hungarian Art Nouveau sacred architecture. Floral motifs, stained glass windows, decorative ceramics, and a large central dome define its distinctive interior and facade. After years of restoration it was reopened to visitors, and today stands as one of the key monuments of Subotica's Art Nouveau heritage.
