Sunnegga and Leisee

Sunnegga is a panoramic terrace at 2,288 metres above Zermatt, reached from the village by underground funicular in just 4.5 minutes. According to Switzerland Tourism, it is the first funicular in Switzerland to run entirely through a tunnel. In summer, the shores of Leisee are set up with a swimming beach, barbecue areas, and a rope raft, as well as the 'Wolli' children's park, complete with slides, swings, and climbing frames. In winter, Sunnegga sits amid ski slopes and offers groomed winter hiking trails and snowshoe routes.
