A natural island a hundred or so meters to the left of Our Lady of the Rocks, with a 12th-century Benedictine monastery tucked behind a dense row of cypress trees. The island is private church property and is not open to visitors, but the silhouette with the cypresses, photographed from a boat or from the Riva, is among the most recognizable images of the Bay of Kotor. Passing by on a boat is enough.
The island with the monastery is not open to the public — it can only be seen from the outside, from the sea or from the island of Gospa od Škrpjela. Boat taxis transport tourists between the islands.
