Merced Square

A historic square in the center of Malaga, surrounded by 19th-century residential buildings, palm trees, restaurants, and cafes with terraces. At its center stands an obelisk dedicated to General Torrijos, while on the northern side of the square lies Picasso's birthplace. The square is one of the city's main gathering places and connects the historic center with the neighborhoods around the port.
