Puerta del Sol

The central square of Madrid and one of the busiest gathering places in the city. This is the location of the famous 'Kilómetro Cero', the point from which distances on Spanish national roads are traditionally measured. The square is surrounded by historic buildings, among which Casa de Correos stands out with its clock that marks the beginning of the New Year's celebration every year.
