The main square of Piran, named after the famous violinist Giuseppe Tartini, whose bronze statue dominates the center. Once a sea harbor, it is today surrounded by Venetian palaces and cafés. The heart of the old town and the starting point for sightseeing.
Free entry. The square is most beautiful in the evening hours when the palaces are illuminated. The bronze statue of Tartini from 1896 is an excellent photo spot.
